Troon is a vibrant, bustling seaside town surrounded by rolling lowland hills set in the midst of the beautiful Ayrshire countryside. Whether your passion is for golf, windsurfing or simply a walk along the golden sandy beaches, there are a wide range of relaxing distractions to suit most tastes. We are situated only 5 minutes from Prestwick Airport and have excellent road and rail links to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Troon offers a wide range of golf courses with the famous Royal Troon just 5 minutes drive away. The town also has excellent municipal courses including Darley, Fullarton, and Lochgreen, all 2 minutes away and very reasonably priced. Twenty minutes drive further afield you will find Turnberry Golf Club, another classic Scottish links course with wonderful views of the island bird sanctuary Ailsa Craig.

Ayrshire is the home of our famous Scottish National poet Robert Burns, born 25th January 1759. You will find Burns' cottage situated in Alloway, which was built by his father and is an attraction not to be missed. There is a museum adjacent which houses a collection of manuscripts, paintings and personal artefacts.

Situated near Maybole only 20 minutes drive away, is Culzean Castle and Country Park, South Ayrshire's jewel in the crown. Run by the National Trust of Scotland, it was designed in 1777 by the celebrated architect Robert Adam. The castle sits in a spectacular location within a 500 acre country park. It has a popular visitors centre and is simply alive with history.
